Subject: sizing of Nike Free shoes?
I've heard that the Nike Free 5 running shoes run larger than other shoes/brands. I usually wear a women's 11 or men's 9 in Mizuno and Brooks shoes. Should I get the Nike Free 5 in 10.5/8.5?

Does anyone have these shoes and also other running shoes? Could you check what sizes they are, please? Are your Nike's a smaller size than the other shoes?

I'm trying to get a pair of these cheap on eBay since I don't know if they'll work for me at all (mild overpronator) and our local running store doesn't stock them so I can't even try them for size. Some friends of mine swear by them for speed/track runs. I thought they'll be great for the indoor track this winter. And the pair I'm looking at is red! Should be fast

Thank you for any help/suggestions you can offer.

I have a pair and I got mine a half size bigger than my foot to allow for swelling. I am a size 11.5 and fit comfortable in a size 12.

I got the same size as I wear in other running shoes, and they fit fine.

I normally wear Asics, my Nike Frees are a half size up. (10 1/2 women's in Asics, 11 women's in Nike Free)

Even though I find that I don't like running in them, they make for great gym shoes and improve my balance and form with lifting and core work.

I think part of the reason for the closer fit is that they're made to be worn sockless. Similarly, my Sidi T1's in size 44 fit closer than my Sidi Lazer's, also in size 44.
