I'm good with Bebo.  Prices are reasonable, menu looks diverse, and it's right there close to the hotel.

How's everyone else with this?  What about time?  We don't wanna do it too late, but too early won't be good either since some of us are gonna be running around all day.  I propose 630pm.  Early enough for us to get out before too late, and late enough so we have time to get stuff done before.  I'd even go 7.  But I don't want to eat too late either, we need our rest!!

Ideas?

I like earlier better myself. I'd even say 6 but I'm one of those that will be running around all day.  I guess I'm more concerned w/ actually being seated on time and served promptly. You know us New Yorkers , we don't have any much patience for these things

Yup...I'll go with the flow, any time from 6:00 to 7:00 is fine.  Put Patti and me down for 100% definite!  Thanks for doing all this Jeff.  It'll not only save Patti a ton of walking, but it makes it easier for me in high heels too.

Yay!!  We should have a good crowd.  I may have Terri and her aunt and uncle with me, or just Terri, or just me.  Either way, I'll be there (duh, I'm the Julie, I'd better be there!!).

I'm gonna go with 6 since that seems to be everyone's happy time.  I'll probably make the reservation tomorrow (Wednesday, 10/24) so we have all of today and some of tomorrow to make up our minds on number of people.

This is gonna be fun!!!

Hehe...yeah we can skip logging this meal.  I won't, but I'm crazy like that.

Hmmm...drill sergeant Jeff...I kinda like that.    Although I think I like Coach Q better...it doesn't sound so...mean!  LOL  Although for this, I think my name is more like Julieyourcruisedirector.

OK MCM dinner peeps!  I'm gonna make the res today.  Probably some time this afternoon.  So this is the "last call" for anyone who wants to come.  Please let me know by about 2pm today so I can get the res made.  Thanks!!

Julieyourcruisedirector has spoken!   Have a great day everyone!!

We could always make you Charo.  But then you'd have to get some collagen in your lips...not to mention bigger boobs!  Ethel Merman was always around too...but imagine the weight you'd have to put on.  HAHA!!!

Q can you add one more to the res?  I think my sister wants to go since she would be alone otherwise.

Do you guys promise to be nice to her?  She's like a smaller version of me...

I'll try to talk to her tonight and see what her plans are...

We have a problem. Bebo is booked. 9pm is the first time they have. I tried to call all day yesterday and it took me five tries today to get thru. My next suggestion is that we all meet at Max`s hotel and figure out where to go. Lets meet at 530 so we have a few extra minutes to travel. Is this okay with everyone?

Max and Patti are at the Marriott Crystal City, right next to the Metro Station.   I believe the station is called Crystal City as well.

Sorry about the restaurant mishap all...I hope we can still get something going.  I'm sure there are loads of places in and around that area.

So I started a thread asking this in the main forum, but also thought I'd pose it here -

what are you wearing race day? Temps look to be 55-60F, mostly sunny.

thanks!
tom

Sounds OK to me...we'll hang around outside the hotel just before 5:30 and wait, we're just down the street, a few yards south of the Metro station.  We're leaving for the airport in a half hour, I'll have my laptop with me for computer access at the hotel.

We'll figure something out.  How many do you have for potential dinner reservations so far?

We have about 18.  It's a big group!  But I figure, if you guys are gonna be out and about, I'm sure you'll happen upon some places that have potential.  I'll probably see you tonight Max...so we can discuss our options then.  I'm sure everything will work out, it always does.

I've been training in shorts and sleeveless shirt but it's been so much warmer. Well I just ran 2.5 miles w/ long sleeves and tights. Chilly to start but then I got real warm. So, I'm wearing a throw away long sleeve t-shirt over my sleeveless and shorts. Figure to drop the lond sleeve right after the start.

Dinner - meeting w/ Max sounds fine. Thnx guys.

I'm planning on throwaways too.  The cool part is, whatever is thrown on the course is given to the homeless.  I think that's a great way to do a little "good deed of the day", and it's awesome of the Marines to coordinate and distribute.
