Pre-race routine:

Prior to this race, I ran the 5k Cross Country race. This race was going to be a cool down.

I was planning on using this as a cool down for the Cross Country race until I realized I was in 2nd place behind a female competitor - that meant 1st place for men, so I gave it a shot.

Not much. Pushed harder at the end so I wouldn't

Enjoyed the awards ceremony and played with my kids

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not much, I have never race walked before, it was fun, and my shuffle run adapts to a race walk well.

Event comments:

BGRR is a great group, and they put on quite a fun time for all, especially the kids.
