When I am trying to perfect "Them Bones" by Alice in Chains nobody gets to play!!!!

Tournament in our house....My wife and I were pissed when our son took it to a friends house.  Love it.

Nothing wrong with throwing an elbow here and there.  Now if you were bribing them, thats a different story.

I caught my dad trying to play one day and he was so embarassed.

Oh man, I get goosebumps every time I play "Freebird".

What is Rock Band?  Please tell me it's like a combination between guitar hero and singstar.  Singstar is like a karaoke game for PS2.  My brother and I have been dreaming about how cool of a game that would be, where one person plays the guitar and the other person sings...

I love Guitar Hero!!!

My oldest son just took it to college until the Holidays - I couldn't BELIEVE my youngest son agreed - what's a mother to do?

My oldest called me as soon as he got to the dorm to let me know the guitars had made the trip unharmed - LOL

I opted to send my son to the School of Rock (http://www.schoolofrock.com) instead. I decided Halo 3 was probably better than sending him into the Army at 17 though.

Ha, you're in for surprise. Rock Band includes a guitarist, bassist, drummer and singer. It'll be out for the Xbox360, PS3 and PS2.

I'm not into video games but I loved Guitar Hero!  We tried it at a friend's house.  It took me a little while to get the hang of it but then I wasn't too bad.  That other one with the whole band will be great - we can play with the kids!

So what you all are saying is "It's not bad at all" to elbow 11 year old nephews aside.

That's why I like you.

Problem is, those 11 year old nephews are starting to get pretty big. I better work on my deltoids to develop a more powerful elbow shot, or better yet, start to employ some pyschological tactics.

No just swim lots and the deltoids will come with time

I played it at a friends house and still debating on picking it up. I think my wife, who doesn't play video games, would think it is fun.

Yep, Xbox or Playstation. You can use either the usual controller or get a quasi-guitar looking thing to play it. Look, if you are a real musician, this is just kid stuff, but you get to live out a rock star fantasy and who doesn't have one of those? :-D
