This was my first standalone 5k, all previous running had been during Tri's. I was pretty happy with my time. I ran a pretty even pace, finished with a 6:41 per mile pace, I hit the mile one marker at 6:38.
What would you do differently?:

Start farther to the front of the pack at the start, I was probably 7 or 8 yards back from the front when we started, but there was still a lot of traffic I had to slow down and go around a lot of people in the first 1/4 mile. Had I been up front a little more may have shed a few more seconds off my time.
