Dang it why can't I live in Austin.  I have a PR of 8:50 for the beer mile and am hoping to break that sometime this year but my wife would kill me for going to Austin for a 1 mile race.  I am hoping the same group does it in Dallas in December.  Good luck to all that try.

You think the rules are bad, when I did my beer mile they had people inspecting the cans to make sure they were empty and people on the course watching for puking.

I'm in!!! South Austin is only a little over an hour away for me, AND this is something I may be able to get my non-runner, beer-swilling friends to participate in! Who else is in?

I did this a few times in high school. We didn't call it a beer mile. We called it shoplifting...

There was one last year in december that I did.  The DFW Hash house harriers put it on.  I have been watching their website to see if they plan on doing it again and will post when I hear anything.

I'm in again. Maybe this time I won't have to take a DNF. I'll be training pretty hard on Thanksgiving Day for this.

I just sent a message to all the email addresses I could find for the Hashers in DFW to see what there plans are.  I will let everyone know what they say.

Yep, that is the one I did,  I have the "how bout a threesome" shirt on.  The guy on the ground who just got done puking is a USAT official, I think his name is matt.

Man, only 6 people finished in Austin?  I would have thought more people would have showed up for that.  BTW, for DFW people, I have heard rumors there will be a beer mile on Sunday at WRL.  I am trying to find out for sure and will post if I find anything out.

Don't do it. You will vomit, if you're not Ken. Terrible!...but fun.

I prefer to just binge after a real race.

Do it, it is fun.  The one last year in Dallas there was about 25 people and ony 2 puked and times were pretty fast.  I went 8:50 and came in 6th.

BTW, I am normally a puker when I drink but for some reason did not while running.  I am still amazed.  The secret is to burp alot the first 50 meters after each beer (but don't puke while doing it).

Please post if you learn that WRL is on for this weekend. I am interested, as well as a few of my DFW buddies.

Actually 103 people finished. The results posted are from the last one we had. I haven't had the chance to get the results done yet. The winning time was 7:37. That's pretty good considering it was 45 degrees, wet, on grass and there were 6 turns.

You can check out the pic s sections to see all the fun had that you all missed.

That sounds better.  I figured Austin had more drinkers than that.

That sounds better.  I figured Austin had more drinkers than that.  That course sucked.  The one I did last year had 2 tight turns that slowed you down but was still fairly oval.

(Sorry for the triple post, that is the second time today that has happened but I finally realized what I was doing)
