As many of you know, I've been growing out a ponytail for the purposes of donating to Locks of Love.

So the deed was finally done. On Saturday, 11/3/2007, the ponytail was cut off. I had my daughter take a picture before (thus the low-level perspective – she’s 6), and Donna took the picture after. She initially didn’t want to cut it, but I persisted, so she did it. Then they were all telling me my ponytail was now a “nub”. But they all convinced me to let it grow again, so I will (much to my mother’s chagrin, I’m sure). My step daughter was freaking out, as it if were a severed limb or something, and wouldn’t touch it.

Next, it’ll be off to Locks of Love, hopefully to become part of a child’s wig.

And I feel a little light headed…

That's fantastic!!

I'm holding off getting my hair cut until next Spring, so that I can give them 12-14 inches and still keep a good length.

I gave them 14 inches a year and half ago, and it felt great knowing it was going to make someone happy.

April 2005 'til yesterday. You do the math.

Odd, yes, in that you don't see many of them around. Whatever. Yes, some people pointed and stared.

If I could grow hair, I would totally do that!

You're a good man!  May your hair grow back rapidly, so you can help someone else.
