Subject: RE: November 9 - NEW YOU BY NEW YEAR'S weigh in Wow! So much good news on here this week, congrats to all of you! I am still bouncing around my plateau....I'd say I am about 179.5 right now, but am having a monthly visitor so I hope it will show a lower number on Friday. Sorry for the late weigh in, just didn't get on the scale.....I have a fear which sometimes keeps me away although some days I am on it ten times. Go figure. Nonetheless, I've been happy with my body changing even though it is not reflected in the scale number. I am comfortably in a size 12, sometimes a 10 and even have one size 8 pants (albeit they are a big 8). Still for someone who always felt size 18 and 1x or 2x was good enough for the rest of my life, this is remarkable. Just had family photos and can't believe how I look on film. There is the improvement! Yay! Everyone who sees me always says they can't believe how I am still managing to lose weight, when I haven't dropped any significant pounds since July. That would be toning, I guess. Whatever it is, I am feeling pretty good. I had a trail run on Saturday, my first 10k ever, and did it in an hour and was the 10th finisher overall. (Of 31 participants). Better than I could have imagined a year ago when I was 230, and could run about five minutes. Secondary.....gonna focus on water this week and no kid food. Did better with the kid food but still found it in my mouth when I was not mindful. I still try to run outside when I can, and have been finding spinning classes at the gym a pretty good way to get a bike ride in. I will still swim at the gym and ride my trainer in the garage when I can. Winters here are wet and cold, and I don't have enough outdoor clothes. Hopefully Santa comes through for me! I really want to do some bike rides before it gets way too cold. As long as I do something every day or nearly every day, that helps me stay sane. Where I do it or what it is becomes secondary! I am still trying to come up with a good training plan for the off season. For now the November challenge of doing an Oly per week has been pretty good for me. I will be in DC for Thanksgiving week and will be working hard to keep 'travel food' out of my system. |
