Run
Comments: I found someone to pace behind, but I lost her at mile 5 as I slowed down and she kept her same pace. What would you do differently?: Train!! This wasn't a bad time considering the last time I ran was 2 weeks ago and I only ran 2 miles. And I had only been on the bike twice in the last 2 weeks. Post race
Warm down: Walked around, thanked the last woman I paced behind, who knows someone I work with. I felt a little nauseated, but after I ate a little, it went away. I have take 3 ibuprofen to forestall the impending pain. What limited your ability to perform faster: I have not been running Event comments: This race used to be in downtown Phoenix, and it was such a pretty route. Now it is through Tempe, near ASU and not so scenic. The race is always well run, with plenty of water. Last updated: 2007-11-11 12:00 AM

Car pooled with the friends who convinced me that I could do this with no training. As always, I had to make a bee line for the porta potties.
