Subject: Couch to Sprint Workout Question!
I have a question regarding the workouts that are on the website. I am looking at one under Couch to Sprint. Do the numbers represent time (minutes)?

Thanks! Has anyone done any of the programs on the website? I'm a beginner, are there any suggestions out there as to a good one to follow?

I did the Couch to 5k program. At first I didn't think I would ever be able to run for more than five minutes, let alone over 3 miles. After about three weeks I was amazed how far I could go. Good Luck!!

I am in the midst of the aggressive couch to 5k and I have had a great deal of success. My longest run ever (when I was 16 - I'm now 28) was 2.4km in around 11:00. I would feel terrible during the run and for at least a day after. After following this plan I can now run for 24 minutes with no difficulty and am covering around 4.8km. This is at a nice slow pace and I feel good during and after the run.

I wholeheartedly endorse this program and plan to start on the sprint distance programs once I finish the run program.

Good luck...

I used the 20 week Olympic program to ready myself for the Chicago triathlon this past August. It worked just fine! I finished the race, and all is well!

This coming from a person, who, just 2 short years ago, would only run if someone with a weapon was chasing her. And even then, I'd probably stipulate it'd have to be a DEADLY weapon... (!)

You can do it!!! Good Luck!

I used the swim focus Couch to Sprint plan this summer and I recommend it. I started as a new runner, non-bicyclist, non-swimmer and it got me across the finish line.  The best advice I can give you is to follow the plan. When I deviated, it showed.

Good Luck!
