Comments: Pretty fast... could have pushed myself a little harder. What would you do differently?: Needed to start nearer to the front of the pack. I was trapped behind slow people for the first 1/2 mile.  Post race
Warm down: Walked a little and then went back to see Haley, Davis, Karin, and Dad finish. I ran with Haley as she finished. I walked with Karin. What limited your ability to perform faster: Needed to push myself a little harder during mile 2. Event comments: Race was well organized. Classic race did a good job as usual. This was a Grand Rapids Public Schools race, though, and they didn't seem to have any volunteers. They had no drink station, very few distance markings on the course (Just the 1 mile mark), they ran out of water bottles after the race, there was no swag bag, and the race was started very unceremoniously. No "thanks for coming out". No, "have a great run". Some guy just whistled and pointed at the starting line...2 minutes later a gun went off and the race started. Last updated: 2007-09-08 12:00 AM

Not much... a little OJ, a granola bar, and some stretching. Did about a 5 minute warm up run about 15 minutes before race start
5 minutes of jog with a couple faster strides thrown in...just enough to get a feel for the pace for the day. A little bit of stretching. I was very cold when the gun finally went off.
