Comments: I'll update my time when I know exactly what it was.. but that is the ballpark. So... Me, Drew and Zev ran together for awhile. The plan was that Drew should run whatever he wanted and I would try to keep up. It worked well for about... oh... a mile. :) It was a quick pace for me today, since I haven't really run in two weeks. Heh. Anyway... I tried to keep up, eventually, Zev went on ahead and Drew should have to but he was too sweet and stayed with me and kept me going. As we came into the inside of the park there was this little old woman running just ahead of us. Drew and I both noticed her and he even said "cmon, we've got to get past her!" Yeah... it took awhile. I had nothing. I was just happy that the urge to puke had subsided after the 2.5 mile mark. Finally got around her going up a little hill, probably because she slowed down, but I'm going to say it was because we went faster. FINISH! Ugh. I felt like crap. Oh well. I did it. And it was FREAKIN COLD! Post race
Warm down: The standard stand around and chit chat. Walked around to get the free stuff. This year instead of a mug, Runner's Roost was giving out little cooler bags. Cool. Chris (Coredump) and Laura (Whizzz) came to Denver for Tday!!! We met them at the flag pole as scheduled. It was Zev, me, Drew and Chris that ran. Poor Laura is still recovering from an injury so she was a lovely spectator. Oh, and Chris's dad was there as well, holding the "godknowswht" sign! That was so we would all find eachother, however, Laura's hair was all we needed. :)
Ran down a street and back and found a good spot near the front of ALL THE FREAKIN people (seriously, like THOUSANDS) just 90 seconds before the start.
