Howdy, all!

Do you realize we are just about one month away from the end of the challenge? Wow - time flies when you're eating yummy stuff oops, having fun!

So how'd you do this week? Have you recovered from your Thanksgiving holiday? Are you ready for December?

As soon as I lay hands on my jump drive (where I keep all important stuff, like the NY by NY spreadsheet....and my work stuff!) - I will update the spreadsheet. Sorry for the delay.

Hope everyone had an awesome week!!!

Kristen

This week's weight - 145
Last week's weight - unknown

I know I am up compared to the last time I weighed in, but not as much as I am sure I was after Thanksgiving. I was too scared to step on the scale. One month to go to get down to 138. Time for me to decide how bad I want it.

Hope everyone else had a great week and has a fantastic weekend.

Change -1!!! Yippee.

Being a non-Athena is within sight! WHOO WHOO!

Having a great week (other than losing my jump drive...hmmm...maybe I should be working on finding it).

Can I use yesterday's weight???  I was 126.5 then, but sadly, 127.5 today.

I should be eating diuretic foods and abstaining from salt on Thursday night like the people on the Biggest Loser

So, no change, but I think my moving average is inching down.  I am recovered from Thanksgiving, and ready to take on the challenge of December!  My secondary goal is (as usual) to do 3 workouts next week.  I think I need to pick up the exercising to get past this plateau.

Good luck everyone!  Keep up the good work!

Ugghh...I took a few weeks off from watching my eating and the results are not good.

Starting weight 225 (10/15/07)

Nov. 9th Weight 221.4

Today's Weight 226.0

Gain = 4.6

Revised Goal weight 215 (1/1/08)

This past week I ate really well and I've stuck to my marathon training plan schedule so I'm hoping to see some good results over the next two weeks.  I've come to the realization that I can't run long distances at 220+ and not expect to get injured.  I need to lose weight to give me knees a break.

Start: 165
Last Week: 152
This Week: 151

Water goal: poor, poor, poor. I seem to be better about drinking water when I start off the morning with a big glass of it. And for some reason, I drink more if I carry a big bottle of it around with me than if I have a glass. Maybe I should try my own tips this week and drink more water!

Start Weight: 164.8

11/23  159.0 17.97 bf%

11/30   156.2 17.47 bf%

weekly change: 2.8lbs

total weight loss to date: 8.6

Secondary goal: Yes, Body fat percentage average for the week went down quite a bit.

I was expecting a big week due to the extra workouts from last week and the silliness of having a weigh-in the day after Thanksgiving.  Quite happy with my secondary goal as well though for the week as it was the first week in several months where everyday my body fat% was below 18%.  One more month and 6.3 lbs to go.  I think I can pull it off even with the holiday season coming up.   The extra vacation as a teacher will be useful as I can get in extra long workouts during this time.

Keep up the good work everyone.

Last week 182, this week 181.  So I am heading in the right direction, even though I weigh  more than when I started the challenge.  I have been bouncing around the 180 mark for months and really need to bounce down to the 170 mark!! It's frustrating. However, I have been super tired out and that does two things--holds the weight on and I tend to deal with the tired stress by eating bad things for snacks.  Mealtimes are ok, it's the in between times that get me.  I have been doing some positive self talk while swimming, so hopefully some of it sinks in.  I also have body dysmorphic disorder and tend to think I look worse than I do.  Don't most of us?  So.....hopefully in the next month I can drop a few more pounds.  I started doing the 20-week run-focused Oly plan this week which will keep me on task exercise-wise.  It is up to me to keep the junk food out of my  mouth!!!  I had to make cookies for preschool last night and I didn't eat more than three, which is a record for me. They are all out of the house so I am safe now.

Bad week(s)...
Didn't weigh in last week, in-laws were here from Ireland and I used that as an excuse to eat, drink and not exercise. Now I'm up to 199.5, no weight loss for the challenge.
Obviously I'm not trying very hard...

Chudley is back down to 229 lbs!!!!!!

I am determined to stay at or get below 229 this week! I can't handle going up 4-5 pounds again!

  • ..we have a ton of snow now. It's like running in VERY slippery sand!

  • Hope y'all have a great weekend and week. See you next Friday.

WTF - it seemed like I did most of the right things this week, but I have posted a gain.  Although it is the first gain of the challenge, so I won't get myself all worked up about it.

New You in the New Year Challenge
    Starting: 202.6 lbs / 114 cm Hips
    Current: 195.6 lbs / 108.5 cm Hips
    Delta-Week: +1.4 lbs / 0.0 cm Hips
    Delta-Total: 7.0 lbs / 05.5 cm Hips

Could be any number of reasons... it is the overall trend that matters.  I'll just need to watch things a bit more closely this week.

    Happy December, everyone!

    Hi folks,

Ok, I am back on track - logging intake and weighing in

I'm at 163 this morning - not happy about the weight, but - there was definite progress in the state of mind!

    Last week 180 (I think)

    This week 180.

No loss and only one pound down from the start.  Hmmm...  Maybe I'll revise my goal to stay at 180 or below by the new year?  I'm not controlling my intake very well, but what's funny is I'm doing better than before the challenge with food.  Weird.

    Good job, everyone!

    Last week 257
    this week 255

Secondary goal met of every other day workouts and food tracking, now this week I my goal is to eat right so I will enjoy tracking a little more. I have a new goal of tracking my food according to grams of intake for Carbs, fat and protein and this is the first week I will be in full force with this. I want to have it down by the time Xmas is here so I can have my holiday fun, then go back immediately to my program and not use the Holidays as an excuse.

    OK, so I'm late!

142 lbs. I think I stayed the same. Which is not too bad for the holidays. I'm working this week on better logging, and not eating after 7 p.m.

Oops.... Sorry, I didn't post earlier. I am suffering from H.U.B disease. Well.. at least I didn't go up this week. Still 242, like last week. Although, I do believe things are shifting. Clothes continue to fit differently....

Secondary goals hit.......I am making great progress..but I am not sure I wll be able to hit the main goal in weight loss, during this challenge.....
