Ran from the car to get my race number & shirt, then back to the car to put stuff away and take off my coat...THEN, back to the race start.

Comments:

Given the conditions and the fact that I couldn't get out of the pack for over a mile, I was reasonably pleased with this run. I spent so much time dodging walkers, people with dogs, and people running in packs across the path! The first mile was brutal with weather too; the wind came across the lake and pelted you in the face with ice. I literally felt as if the left side of my face had been anesthetized. Once we rounded the south end of the lake the wind was no longer an issue. My legs felt great through the whole run!
What would you do differently?:

Start closer to the front to reduce some of the crowd.
Post race
Warm down:

Got a quick snack and headed back to the car to warm up (and scrape the windows!).

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lots of people, cold weather, snow on the path

Nice job Kris.  It's always nice to stoke those competitive fires.

Great run!! It was brutal with the snow with small pellets to the face. I had never seen so many people running this size race with their dogs. Nothing like Minnesota. We didn't end up getting the snow enough for a snow day tomorrow. Although for you, I'm sure you must have to go in anyway. Have a great week.
