Pre-race routine:

Flew into Vegas on Friday. Race is on Sunday.
Okay, remember to check the phone to make sure that it made the time change. I set the alarm to go off at 4:30am. It went off, I got up, dressed, made some oatmeal and had a banana. Then woke my hubby up and was wondering why Gina wasn't up yet. Hubby gets dressed and heads into the living room. He then calls out to me "Kendra, what time do you think it is?" It was 2:00am. Not 5:00am. OMG, back to bed to try for another couple of hours of sleep. So, I basically got about 3 hours of sleep before the race.
Event warmup:

Stretched, gabbed, hopped around all excitged.
Run

Comments:

Great start. I would run for a block, then walk a block (remember Vegas blocks are huge). Did great time up until the 8 mile mark where my PF started acting up. Hit the wall about mile 10. Gina kept me going to the end. The rest of the gang were about 20 minutes behind us.
What would you do differently?:

Really wanted to set a PR, but that was not to be the case.

Was doing about a 13 minute pace up to mile 7.
Course: Start at Mandalay Bay Casino. Head straight down the strip to old town. Turn around somewhere near Freemont Street. Back to Mandalay Bay on the back road behind the casinos. Blue Man group was playing about at the 2.5 mile marker. Cool.

Hi Kendra!

Whoops on the wake up time!

Sounds like you were having a great race, until the PF acted up.

Hope the PF clears up soon.

Great job!

(PS Hi Elvis! LOL)
