I wanted to negative split this, but I probably didn't. We headed out faster than I wanted (I was basically just following Dave & Ashley). Dave faded on a long uphill drag and I just ran with Ashley and we were clipping off a lot of 7:45 miles. I wanted to turn it up after about 10 and I think I did mile 10 around 7:30. Unfortunately mile 11 came next and it was all uphill, so my increased effort resulted in like a 7:56. Mile 12 to the finish was also kinda hilly and resulted in an 8:36 with a 180 HR. I probably raced harder the last few miles, I just didn't go faster....
Fueling was one hammer gel at mile 5 with water. Water at mile 10.
