Swim
Comments: Overall I had the best swim ever. Came out of the water second in my age group with one guy on my heels. By the first buoy I wa in clean water and never saw a person until I caught up to the wave in front of me. What would you do differently?: Nothing, best swim I have ever had Transition 1
Comments: Long run up a muddy beach and into transition. Then, a REAL long run, with your bike from the transition to the bike mount, probably a quarter mile easy! What would you do differently?: Was not as smooth as I should have been getting out of the wetsuit. Bike
Comments: Overall a pretty good ride. So many turns and so many people I forgot to drink. Finished the race with almost a full water bottle. Pretty average ride for me. What would you do differently?: I need to ride more. my run focus has been showing in my cycling. Transition 2
Comments: This was a good transition. Because I did not get a chance to scope the bike re-entry before the race I got out of my shoes about 1/4 mile too early. This almost caused a disaster, but I diverted it. Came off the bike running, which is the first time I have done that. Run
Comments: Was running about 7:40-7:45 miles. Could have pushed a little harder but I think my lack of drinking was wearing on me. Nobody in my age group passed me. Started the run in second and finished the run in second. Post race
Event comments: Overall she did most things great. Awesome course, awesome post race party, started on time, transition had bike positions pre-selected. However, no timing by event SUCKS!! I am really disappointed by that, has to change. I consider that unacceptable!! Last updated: 2007-10-01 12:00 AM
