Pre-race routine:

Got up, debated going to the race, talked to Kristine and made the commitment to run it. I totally wasn't into racing today. My brain thinks fast is evil right now - so I just decided a 10k with a bunch of others is better than 6-7 miles by myself :)
Event warmup:

Jogged with Cathy (CoGirl) for all of 5 minutes, then decided to ditch the Yak Trax. Went to the starting line :)

Comments:

Keeping cool... That's funny since it was about 20 degrees at the start. But with the sun it was PERFECT running weather. I really enjoyed this run, just to chat to everyone, play around and get a solid 6 miles under my belt for the day. I'll start training again in a few weeks, but this was a good precursor :)

Jogged to the car went shopping for a 7 year old birthday :)

My attitude :) my sorry out of shape legs :) and my 5# too heavy butt :)

Good run. I like getting out and seeing everyone in the winter at these events!!!

My Garmin was dead, which is probably better. I might have tried to pick up the pace if I knew how slow I was going :)
Course: Flat a bit, then a few rollers over the dam to the TA, then the rollers were more like hills on the way back :)

My attitude kinda stank today too.  Yeah well, it won't happen again!  Nice work today in the cold, cold, cold weather.
