I voted Michael Lavoto, just because through all the IM coverage on VS he seems like a really nice and down to earth dude and not stuck up like the Germans

I've got to vote for Beke. I LOVED how he finished Kona out of respect for the age groupers. What a role model!

Scott Rigsby. No other male triathlete, with the possible exception of our very own Josh Kaptur, has inspired me so much.

I've met Crowie (Craig Alexander) 3 times and each time he has been gracious and nice.  He takes his wife and daughter with him to every race.  Actually his wife took our picture together.  Awesome athlete and great guy!

Now if only I could hang with one of these guys for just a moment. That would be nice.

He (Crowie, Craig Alexander) is the most underrated triathlete out there by the fans and media. I met him the day before Ironman Hawaii and he was just hanging around at the expo, with NO ONE, asking for pics, autographs, etc, we could even see that he was a bit disappointed, he is the real deal and no one knows it!

Beke earned my respect this year in Kona! He said "It would be a insult to everyone here if I quit just because I am having a bad day."

That is quite a inspiration in today's day and age of show me the money!

Crowie for me as well.  He is bad azz, and genuine as can be in all the times I've seen/heard him on interviews.

Close second would be Beke as he showed his mettle at Kona by not quitting even when he was having a terrible day.

Beke, after hearing him say that as a pro to drop out of the race just because it is not going your way is disrepectful to Age groupers.

Tim DeBoom - he went to my High School and University. He is 3 years younger than me so I never really knew him, but he was a swimming stud on one of the best High School teams in the U.S. when I was a senior, he was still in Jr High, but his brother Todd was in my class and Tony was two years younger than me. This swim team won an amazing 26 Team State Championships in 37 years. Anyway - hometown boy gets my vote.

Beke, cause he finished. For most of the people out there the start so that they can enjoy the ride... or run... or swim... and they are all working to finish. Its rediculous for anyone to drop out because they aren't going to win, and Beke showed the world.

I know we at BT love the underdog but I went for the Top Gun on this one - Macca. Only because he got his "arse" handed to him multiple times before he gutted it out and won Kona. That's true winner spirit there. And besides I've met him twice now in one year (I happen to think that's why he won Kona this year ) and he's always been joyous and fun.

Beke! I understand that pros need to look toward their next race because it's their job but I would bet that more sponsors would want an athlete who finishes no matter how poorly they do. His respect for all competitors was awesome, that's what the sport is all about. It's you vs. the course and yourself but at the same time, you have to have fun and cheer on everybody else.

1st- Australian long course championships
1st- Vineman 70.3

1st- St. Croix 70.3
1st- Muskoka Tri

Am I the only one that thinks McCormack is a dick? From interviews i have read and heard he seems very arrogant and pompous. Also a pro i met along the way(also from Australia) said that around his parts, people dont want anything to do with people associated with "Macca" because of his attitude. That is just what i think/heard.
