Tell us how frequently you flat, is it attributed to tires or location?

Although I'm not thrilled with their tread life (1500 miles average), Continental Ultra Gator Skins have held up far better than several other tire brands I've used.  They are very puncture resistant.  Unlike other tires I've used, Conti Gator's can handle nicks and cuts without penetrating the entire tire down to the tube.

I'm getting 5,000 miles out of Michelin Pro2 Race with excellent puncture resistance.

Must be a regional thing, because my experience with Michelin Pro2 Race is not so good.  I bought a pair on sale and flatted 20 miles into the first ride.  The puncture came from hitting a small rock.  Apparently the sidewall pinched just enough to flat the tire.

A lot of the roads I ride have gravel on the shoulders from intersecting roads.  The Conti's must have a stiffer sidewall, or hold up better to pinch flats (snake bites) because I've never had this problem with them.

So was it a puncture or a pinch flat?

Michelin here.  Knock on wood, as god is my witness, I have NEVER had a flat tire in the 3+ years I have been training and racing in this sport.
