The Garmin Forerunner 305 is working great for me. Definitely get the bike cadence kit with it, all the information it shoots out at me keeps me working during my indoor trainer rides!

Never had a problem with my Garmin 305 HR.  This model has quicker satellite acquisition than the older 201 model.

for just running I love my garmin 305 but I've only had it a couple of months.

For actual races I use my timex system since I"m just looking at HR only and i can take it in the water and use the watch as an everyday watch

Another vote for the Forerunner 305. I finally received mine from Santa and am still learning the ins and outs.

I def. love my garmin 305 hands down.

Best and I use sportstrack with it instead of the garmin software.

I have a Garmin 305 but in the cold weather the buttons on the face freeze. I can't stop it or use the lap feature. Anyone have any suggestions.

I love my Forerunner 305 for running!

A recent review in Runnersworld sounded like both Polar and Suunto are better when it comes to analyzing the heart beat patterns whereas Garmin's strength is more in the GPS technology. While that might be, the heart rate function in the 305 is sufficient for me...

Love my Garmin 305. It has never let me down. Easy to use - if only it had an MP3 player as well...it would be IDEAL
