Warmed up on the track for two miles, did a little stretchin, and then raced. Went out in a 5:30, then hit the hill and was hurting....hill was 1.5 miles with no breaks. Pushed it good in the second half of race but should have pushed harder...i let this kid gap me and then I never closed it even though I know I could have....kind of wimpy finish but I was tired and kind of content at the time to just hold on. The finish line snuck up on me and I wasn't really ready for it, thought there was a little more race left. Overall, I feel that it was a good performance....nice pace. 5:38 or somethin like that. And thats on a hard course....way better shape then last year and I haven't even been doin workouts. Need to just keep it up and keep buildin the milage. Good job but definately still have a long way to get into amazing racing shape.
