Had a great first week but this last week I was back up a few pounds. I ran my first half marathon this past Sunday so I know that I took days off before and days after. Also I ate a bit more making sure I had enough to go on. Now I must get back to exercising even though I am incredibly sore. Bummer though to get on the scale this morning and it read MORE. Good luck to everyone this week. I just keep in mind that this is for the long haul not just one week.

Becki,

Congrats on your half marathon!  That is a HUGE accomplishment!!!

That's right... let's keep perspective on the long haul and doing what we know to be healthy.  In time, we will become leaner although the scale may not necessarily show our progress.

Great job!

Terry

Can I still join in on a team.....I finally got serious the first of the year and have dropped 12 pounds and my goal is for 21 more.  So I could be 21 in 21 weeks.  Trying to keep it at 2 pounds per week but know things will slow down as I get closer to goal.  My lowest weight since losing a ton 6 years ago has been 162 and I want to see what 150 is like.

Brian,
I know I am a little late but I would also like to get on the weight loss train too. Can you let me know what I need to do.

Thanks,
Brian

Team 2, Endurance, is in a similar boat.

We have about 4-5 current participants. I was considering e-mailing the slackers, as I'm the cpatain, but for whatever reason just haven't.

The ones still weighing in are doing well. My wife, who is one the team, has lost 20 so far but just hasn't been blogging.

I figured that we'd lose some along the way but the ones still posting still have the 25# loss in their sights. I hope all the teams have success.

Only about 10 more weeks to go...Good Luck everyone.

Hey everyone, we still have like 4 or 5 people on Team 4. Of the remaining folks, everyone seems to be doing OK. Me personally, I am down about 22.5 since the start. 25 is within my reach and would actually like another 5 to 10 off that.

Was kinda meaning to check in on some of the other teams...I usually lurk thru the spreadsheet on Wednesdays to see who is still around. Glad to see some other folks still in the mix!!!

BrianO, this has been an awesome thing, this Challenge, thanks for kicking it off. Ive made some pretty positive changes over the last 3.5 months, a lot of which are due to this challenge and getting into shape, etc. Not just talking about weight, nutrition, etc. I've been seeing I CAN change myself for the better, if I just try and stick to it. I am translating that attitude to other areas of my life, with positive results. Thanks again.

Good luck everyone!!!!

Yes, thanks Brian!!! It has really made a huge difference for me. I am down 17 pounds since we started and know I will get to 25. This challenge has helped me A LOT!

I also look around while I'm on the spreadsheet to see who is still standing. Maybe we should have a contest amongst those still around to declare a winner. Good luck to you guys. I can't wait to see how everyone does in the weeks to come.

See you at the end!!!

Reporting in for Team Six (Sexy Sixes)...

Many of us have dropped off also.  Last week, we had about 50% participating.  This week about 20%.

Personally, I have not done nearly what I wanted to with the challenge (6 lbs, but they have stayed off).  However, it has definately with making healthy choices knowing that I have to "report in" on Wednesdays.

Should we keep the separate threads or return to one to maybe get some energy back with a strong push to the end?  What do you guys think?

Without looking at the spread sheet, it seems we are down under 20 active at this point. Would it make sense to combine all team inspire threads into one new thread? At least that way, anyone on there own would have a team again.

Thanks again Brian and Mom

I'm not sure whether or not team 6 has been maintaining the spreadsheet.  I deleted the link before we started.  Can someone send me the link again and I'll update it for team 6?

From what I can see at a quick glance, only about 15 people are still logging on the spread sheet.

It would be great to link up with everyone that is still in. We're almost to the end. The more people to hear from the better. Just my two cents. Godd luck everyone!!

Only a few weeks left! I am hoping to continue, but I am leaving for China for 3 weeks on Friday and I don't know what my access to a scale or the internet will be like. If you all consolidate, please don't leave me out because I haven't logged in a while. I will be sure to do it when I get back.

Good luck to all!

The goal of 25 has been reached and I could not be happier. I even had a girl give me her phone number in walmart of all places, and I can tell you that did not happen before, girlfriend wasn't thrilled, but hey, you cannot please everyone.

New goal, under 200 for the first time since my sophmore year of college.

Thanks again for starting this, having the accountability of logging my weight every week has been huge.

I'm still here and at least three other guys in Group 4 are as well, even if we miss a week here or there. I'm now down 27lbs since the start and loving it! It has motivated me and it's good to see a long term target, I have managed to change a good few things in my life since we started, all for the better as far as I'm concerned. Well done to everyone who's still here and especially well done to those who have lost!!

I am still in too. Seems we are loosing people faster than lbs right now. I will meet my personal goal I had set before the challenge of 1/2 lb per week. This is only due to a quick loss and a stabalize at the beginning of the challenge. I know I am still moving in the right direction, but as always it will be a battle.
