I'll start the intros off

I'm Beth and I spend a lot of time on BT - LOL

this is my 5th challenge and somehow I was 'volunteered' to help Dee organize it - truth to be told she's doing all the hard stuff

My background is swimming - yep, there's a LOT of purple in my graphs - especially the past few months as I have been nursing a foot injury

I have participated in 5 tris - 3 sprints and 2 olys (one oly I did as a team - and I did the swim leg)

the run is the most challenging for me - so I'm looking forward to getting some great motivation from the team to achieve my goal this month and get me off to a good start.

I haven't run for months and months due to a foot injury - I had gotten to the point that I could run (actually run) 6 miles pretty comfortably and then blammo -

Go Team C!  yeah, we need to do something about that

Morning, Team C!

This is my off-season of the run - I'm doing my first half-mary in March. I am a challenge addict and spend way too much time on BT. (Is there such a thing as too much time on BT?)

My goal for January is 67 run miles - which is according to the plan I'm using to train for my half-mary. December was my longest run month so far, and I ended at just under 60 miles.

I'm a lousy team captain, so I won' t volunteer for that, but I'm a not-so-bad cheerleader, so I'm happy to take that position.

GO TEAM C!!!

hey team C (someone PLEASE come up with something else )
i took all of december off, slacker that i am. so am wanting to jump back in. running is my strength, if you can call it that i was able to (a month ago anyway) to maintain a 7-8 MM pace for around 5 miles. holidays and taking a month off have taken their toll, i'm sure. i did manage to not gain any weight though, and i may have even lost a couple more pounds. but i think i've lost some fitness. that and the snowy icy roads, i'm really hoping i can just meet my goal.

name ideas? um......
i've already forgotten all of the team members, but
beth's best?
enders benders?
hectors hex?
gators tomaters?
ok probably not. plus i don't wanna be capitan
who is the capitan anyway??

I am Amy. This will be my third challenge. I did two last month.

I am new to tri's. I have done two sprints and an 8k. I have a 5k and a 10k coming up in Feb and March, so I thought I better get running. I am slow, but I still get out there. I am working on my heart rate and trying out different intervals while running.

I would prefer not to be team captain, as I cannot access the google spreadsheets. My Mac does not support it. I will have to beg and plead with the captain to log my runs.

I am a mom to a 2 1/2 yo and an almost 4yo. My hubby works a crazy schedule, so a lot of my runs are pushing two kiddos in a jogger or nap time runs on the treadmill.

Sounds to me like the standard BT-Addicts Anonymous introduction! (Um, not that I'm familiar with said introduction....)

You were "volunteered"? I tell ya, the NERVE of some people....
As for doing the hard stuff - I saw that you updated a spreadsheet. Therefore, I now know that you can update spreadsheets -- which means I can "volunteer" you for yet MORE stuff! Woohoo!

Go Team C! yeah, we need to do something about that

I am NOT good at thinking up team names. Therefore, I don't even try - as you can probably tell by my exceedingly lame name descriptions.

Carry on. (Where's Hector?)

I'm here.

I used to spend wwaaaayyyy to much time on BT.  When I stopped coming here, I stopped everything.  So, I've committed to coming back, just not as much, and see if I can balance it out.

c is for COOL so we are the cool team! I've competed 2.39 miles out of the 40 so my game is ON!

a little about me: my name is Isabelle, i am a mother of 2 and this is my third year as a tri addict. I've done nothing but sprint distances so far and plan to move to the Oly distance someday. i have an half mary planned for april and it is a big thing since i am no way near being a runner...small legs (4'11 and a HALF inches but 6 feet worth of attitude!). I am computer and spreadsheet challenged so i will rather run for someone than to have to manage the sheet...yup i am that bad Embarassed. One other thing: my first language is french so if you don't get what i wrote or if what i wrote was offensive or my spelling sucks  is not appropriate, please mention it to me because i don't fully grasp the subtle twist of the english language sometimes.
