Comments: Once again, I over dressed and ended up cooking. Thankfully in the winter you can just grab a hand full of snow. I found just squeezing a snowball helped. It was very obvious that my training has been inadequate. Although, I did finish without walking my pace was pathetic and the last 2km were brutal. Thankfully this is not a competitive run. What would you do differently?: Were less clothes, thinner layers. Maybe bring a small water bottle. Post race
Warm down: Walked around some, drank a bottle of water and had a couple slices of watermelon. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training. Event comments: Only one water station set up at 5km. I probably wasn't hydrated enough because I really wished there was one more. Although the 10 was tough, I think the 5km would have been too easy, so I'm going to say the challenge was just right. Overall an enjoyable race. Last updated: 2007-11-13 12:00 AM
