Thanks for starting this thread velocomp!  Very inspiring!!  Guess I better get it in gear.

So far only signed up for Colfax marathon -- if you're not counting Chilly Cheeks and Winter Distance Series which are 2/3 over.....

Thinking of Boulder Backroads mary in Sept. -- free Avery beer!

Also want to do lots of volunteering to stay motivated between races.  Where would we be w/o all those crazy volunteers?

Chilly Cheeks #3 in Feb (did 1 & 2 already) 

Playtri Half Ironman - Dallas in April

Ironman CDA - Idaho in June

Other possibilities:

Bolder Boulder 10k (usually do this every year)

Elephant Rock Ride

5430 Long Course

1/2 or Full Marathon in the Fall

A lttle misleading, that page says the 2008 Race Season is sold out but I believe it only refers to the Sprint. The Boulder Peak and Long Course pages still say registration is Open.

Yup, you're right. I saw "race season" and assumed it was all of them.....

I know tri's are more popular than ever, but that seemed awfully fast.

Tri it high ~ July 13, 2008 ~ Sprint Tri
Rattlesnake ~ August 16, 2008 ~ 1st Olympic Distance Tri
Fall Frenzy ~ September 7, 2008 ~ Sprint Tri (2nd annual)
Race for the Cure ~ October 5, 2008 ~ 5K (10th or so annual)

Not sure if you all got the 5430 update, but the Series is getting closer to selling out. It sounds like the Peak has 300 or fewer slots left. Long Course still have quite a few though.

FYI:

Pikes Peak Ascent & Marathon sign up starts at noon & 1 tomorrow (Wed, Mar 12), respectively, on Active.com.

They promise they won't have the issues they had last year (fiasco).
This year there are some qualifications for both races. If you've done a half marathon or full marathon in the past 5 years, chances are you good you qualify - you don't have to be fast to qualify, I think they just want some evidence that you have actually trained for and completed more than a 5K.

I'm not doing them, I can go up for free, any time and probably will train with friends... But just in case it's on someone's ToDo list...
