schedule for day.

6:00 am up/coffee
7:30 leave for race
8:00 5k
9:15 kids 1 mile run
10:00 leave..obligatory starbucks run
11:00 realize cant find basdball lineup for littleleague game im subbing/coaching
12:00 get to ballpark
1:00  Game starts
3:00 game ends
3:30 shower
4:00 head to hospital
6:00 leave hospital; decide to not swim, head downtown
6:45: pick up friend in from out of town; goto dinner
8:00 email for wife...things not good on the home front
8:30 drop off friend at hotel
9:30 home..LONG night talking about kids and stuff.
12:00mn..alseep

then up at 4am  to head back to hospital.

Looking back, the only way to have gotten the swim in would have been to get up earlier and swam before the 5k. Just too much stuff to fit in the day.

 

supposed to ride the trainer for about an hr and do a warm up run for tomorrow's 5k.  Wiped out from phone calls. didnt work out in am. Then...beck was out with her dad for a dinner/reception thing leaving me with the kids... By the time they were in bed and beck back home..too wiped out. HUGE day tomorrow. Not sure how to fit it all in.

interseting run. HR pushing upper limit of z2 for most of the run..pace 9:42 or so / mile. Then after 1 hr mark, hr decreased?  Anyways, back is fine. Neck is stiff, but that is from sleeping on it weird...not really from the run. Stretched and now off to work.

4 X 100 alternate backstroke/free + 200 easy free + 200 closed fist and pullbuoy + 4 X 100 free with ankle bands, RI=10'' + 4 X 200 descend within, RI=10'' + 4 X 300 hard pace free, finish on 5:00, go on 5:30 + 200 backstroke

4am at LTF.  Didnt want to do this at night given i have to be up early for long run tomorrow.  Finished this in its entirety.  The pace clock was not working so now idea of actual time.  Pushed pretty hard on 2nd/3rd.. Last one let up a little bit.

Switched my traiing schedule around for this week. Was supposed to be a rest day but it is my 1/2 day (and only day off this week). Got home around 1:30...decided to do tomorrow's run since it actually was not raining out there.  HR seemed high for RPE and my recovery hr during the 2min recovery jogs stayed high.  Several weeks ago it would drop down low real quick...not sure if its cumulative fatigue from the long weekend, relative dehydration, or lack of "fitness" after 2wks off from my back spasms?
