First time back in the pool, and wow, my back/shoulders were feeling it in the second half. It took me until the final set of 100s before I even felt like I was breathing normally. Guess that's what happens when the pool is closed and you take a 5 week break. I can't imagine what it would be like to take an entire winter off of swimming. I really feel for the people who only have access to outdoor pools in nice weather.

Drenching rain. It was dark and there was a bit of thunder/lightning happening, so I kept it in the apartment complex just in case it got really bad. I was feeling quite good, except some fatigue/pain in my lower legs. I've realized that pain is because of all the work meetings I've had this week, which means after months in sneakers I subjected myself to 3+ days in heels. Whoops!

When I headed out it wasn't even 60 degrees. The sun was shining, I was sweating buckets in the best way, and it was generally a fun day out. It is so odd to have my "long" run be 36 minutes. But again, I am enjoying the BarryP plan. Nothing hurts! No fatigue!

So, a few hours later into the day, and I can say that my hamstrings are feeling sore. Is it from today's run, or getting on the bike for the first time in two weeks yesterday? Who knows. Nothing bad, just feeling a bit tight when I stand up after sitting for awhile. I cannot wait until tomorrow when I can get back in the pool. I'm really excited to see if there's any visible changes at the pool. I heard they were going to be putting in some stairs on the deep end to accommodate those who have trouble with the ladders.
