Another easy swim tonight but I did mix things up more from last time. I put some shorter very slightly harder sets in to keep it interesting. The sets were split into 500 total with the pull buoy and 500 free.
I had no problems completing the sets at all and had plenty of gas for the rest of the work out.

Effort: Easy
This may be my last run before the race on Saturday but I will consider running a couple more easy miles on Friday. I doubt I will do any more running but I will leave it opened for now.
The pace was more in line with where I need to be for these final runs. I felt pretty good except for my left knee. The pain I am feeling is related to my previous knee surgeries and not any fatigue from last week. It does concern me a little bit but I am too close to the race to worry about it. Things are going to fall where they will this weekend.

This was the first swim in several weeks and I made sure to keep the effort on a low key. I didn't do anything at even a moderate effort.
I made sure my effort was low key enough to have to breath every 4th stroke. I made sure to get some bilateral breathing in by alternating sides every 100 yards.

Effort: Easy
This run was a little faster than it should have been but I let the low life "entitlement" bunch get under my skin tonight as I was leaving the house.
I felt comfortable and it wasn't even a hard pace and my HR was still in line with an easy run, my pacing was faster than it should have been. My legs felt really good and I think I should be fine for the race Saturday....I hope!

I ran a little faster than planned but still in the easy zone. My legs seem to be okay after running to much on Friday but what little soreness there is will be gone in the morning.
The pace was slightly faster but I think this will help me mentally as I get ready for Saturday. After a full week of "easy" and "very easy" runs I needed something a little bit quicker for my confidence.
It's going to be a major gut check come Saturday morning. 2 marathons in 3 weeks is a lot to ask from my body.
