---10:03 AM---

Bike went pretty well.  My road bike is feeling so much better since the seat height got fixed - especially up hills, which is where I was really struggling before.

Run after the bike felt ok.  I went out too fast (11:00/mile pace for the first 0.25 miles), so that's something I'll need to watch out for tomorrow.  I relaced my shoes with Yankz last night using different ways on each shoe.  One felt great, the other made my foot almost numb in the one mile.  Guess I know which style works best.

Plan for the rest of today:

1)  Relace shoe with Yankz.

2) Clean and grease chain.

3) Pack up transition bag.

4) Packet pickup and pre-race meeting (~2:00)

5) Go to Target to get breakfast and Locktite.

6) Adjust cleats - use Locktite on the screws.

Bike fit

---11:17 AM---

Got the bike fit.  It's a bit too big to really get down and be aero.  I have to be more upright in order for it to work right.  Not sure how I feel about it right now.  I think I'll still end up being faster on it than my road bike, but I think I might have been better to wait and buy a new tri bike for the same price.  :(

----5:29 PM---

Run was really warm, but I made it through.  My ITB on the left side was feeling a little tight, so I'm currently trying to stretch it out.  About 1 mile into my run, a young girl (about 6) asked how long I had been jogging.  I told her only 12 minutes.  She asked if I had to go a long way still...unfortunately yes.  Oh well.  At least I made it through.

---12:10 PM---

Feeling a little more caught up on my sleep today. Still really tired, but it sounds like I will get an increase in my thyroid medication at the end of the week or early next week. Doc wants to see my latest lab results before she decides on the increase. Last time, my TSH was high and my T4 was kind of low. Also checking T3 this time to see how low that is.

Planning on running this afternoon. Looks like the weather will cooperate. This morning there was a smoke advisory out because of a swamp fire. Really bad air conditions near my house, so I think I would have had a hard time running.

I still haven't decided on the 70.3 for next year. I feel a little silly debating this now, but Augusta registration opens 7/1, so I want to decide before then. Here's what I'm considering:

1) Augusta would be more expensive, but it would be a chance for a short vacation with just me and the husband. (Usually vacation is visiting our families)

2) Wouldn't be able to pre-ride Augusta.

3) It would be cool to do an "official" 70.3 as a first race. Bigger crowd. On the other hand, more embarrassing if I don't finish.

To be honest, I'm kind of leaning towards Augusta and using Patriot's as a backup. I might wait until September and see how the Patriot's course is. If Augusta is full by then, so be it.

Long day today.  I don't remember everything I was going to post.  Oh well.

Swim went ok.

Still feeling dehydrated after yesterday.  :(  Trying to drink lots of water and some Gatorade, so I'm hoping that gets under control soon.

---11:30 AM---

Jen's poll question of the day/week/whenever I post a new one:

Considering doing my first HIM next year. Should I do the one in Augusta (9/29) or stick closer to home with something local like Patriot's HIM (week after Labor Day usually)?
