Day 3 of Insanity.  I skipped my bike workout yesterday because I was simply too sore and tired.  This intense cardio plyometric workout is kicking my butt!  I will do my swim today though.  I think  by next week I will be doing Insanity(R) in the mornings and my tri workouts during lunch, but this week I am not pushing it too hard yet and so I am mostly focusing on Insanity(R).

Still fighting off a sinus infection or something.  Day 2 of Insanity (R).  Urgh, this is going to help alot.  I have found that I have severely overlooked my hamstrings in all of my training.  This routine really helps me identify my muscle imbalances.

Still feel tired from yesterday's run.  I haven't felt that drained after a workout in a long time.  I think I am fighting off a sinus infection.

Today was Day one of Insanity(R) a workout program by the people who created P90X.  It is 60 days and it is all body weight exercises.  It is pure cardio and plyometrics.  Urgh!  Today was only the fitness test, but boy.

Man, I can tell my nutrition has been off the last few days, and that I am fighting off some sort of sinus infection.  I tried to increase my pace a little on today's run, and I did for the first 4.5 miles, I was averaging 10:42 per mile (which for me is good), but I could not hold that pace with the hills.  I ended up with 11:36 per mile for the 10 miler.  I definitely lost focus on my nutrition, and it showed.  I had no energy and had to walk many times during the run.

walked the dogs and it turned into a jog back because the wife had to pee.

Well, the 3 inches of snow outside has forced my ride to be on the trainer today.  I was really hoping to get in 40 miles on the road today.  Oh well.  My daughter has been sick as have I the last couple of days.  I haven't gotten any workouts in for two days.  My wife and I are starting Insanity on Monday, so I plan on only getting in 1 Tri sport workout a day in each day.  The Insanity workout will be my strength and core work for the next 2 months.
