Not completely sure of my total time...I forgot to stop my watch and I wasn't looking at the finish clock. (I was too busy trying to get one foot in front of the other which was quite a task at that point!)  I think I came in somewhere around 6:05.  T1 was about 5:00 and T2 was 1:29.  The run was total misery from the first step.  I can't say the run was "fun", but I really had a great day even though I missed out on a couple of goals.  The positives were having a fantastic swim, a solid bike, great weather and no flats on the bike.  And it was awesome having friends like Glenn and Shelly and my wonderful wife pulling for me and waiting at the finish.  I have absolutely nothing to complain about.  In fact, I think this probably has me more fired up about Eagleman than I would have been if I had nailed the run.  With some more training, I know I can do better than this.  I immediately signed up for Eagleman and Columbia when I got home and I can't wait to have another go at this distance.

Easy warmup to stretch the legs out. Threw in a few 20" accelerations on the way back.

Quick run off the bike. HR was strangely high - not sure what's up with that.

It's all over now....just waiting for 7:18am tomorrow morning.  Just chilling the rest of today reading and watching movies.  I wonder how tomorrow will go?

Rest day.  Game plan is to give the bike a little TLC and change the tires and tubes then just chill the rest of the day.  A short brick tomorrow morning then it's all over but the nervousness.  The main focus for today and tomorrow is drinking lots of water and sleeping (and eating banana crisps of course).

Sitting here at my desk obsessing about Sunday, I think my nervousness has kind of subsided.  I definitely have some anxiety because I've never completed this distance, but I'm simply interested to see how my body handles racing for 6 hours.  I think at this point, I'm less interested in finishing in a certain amount of time and more interested to see just how far my training has brought me and how I handle it physically and mentally.  I'm most worried that I won't enjoy racing this distance than I am about what my time will be.  Sounds weird, I know.  I've had such a great summer and have really enjoyed the training - I want race day to be just as fullfilling.

Negative split run into town and back.

Legs are starting to feel a little springy! :)

Been on the road all morning.  2.5 hr drive each way to Harrisburg, PA for a 30 minute presentation.  Bleh.  Can't wait to get home and run a little to stretch the legs out.

Short, but intense swim. Hadn't planned on the negative split, but the first three just happened to each get faster so I figured I'd try for all six.

I'm sensing peer pressure to make my Dman goals public information.

Rest day. Worked with Bobby all day.
