Had a fun open water swim at Glen Lake with another GSTC member and some former TNT friends. I think I am overcoming my open water anxiety. I also think that is is dawning on me that I am not fast in the water. Part of my problem in races is that I try to keep a pace I cannot possibly keep (Because in my head I think I am "good") and 200m later I have no breath left. I need to swim my own race and block out the other swimmers and their pace. I also need to keep my form but train more in order to increase my speed :-(
