Really easy. All z1. Pretty sore and stiff from yesterday
I never got the opportunity to write any of my thoughts about yesterday's training so, I was thinking a lot about that training this morning while I wad running. This really was a great training weekend for me. I'm thrilled with the brick I put together yesterday and I think I am primed for the opportunity to go sub 6 in my him in two weeks. If I can run tbat comfortably at a 9:30 pace for the whole half marathon portion of the him I'll be in great position to break 6.
Miles 1 and 6, very easy and slow. Strides during miles 2,3,4. Ran mile five as hard as I could (8:52)
Just one more week of real training (actually about 10 days) until I start my 1.5 week of taper for my HIM. I'm going to shoot for 10 hours of training this week. I've been going at it pretty hard for the past 9 or 10 months so in many ways, I'm looking forward to the outseason... and that reminds me, I am going to refer to it in that way after a 2 week real span of r&r starting on 10/10. I am going to completely subscride to the Endurance Nation training philosophies for the next 12 months. I won't join with them... yet. As it is a pretty steep charge.
