In over five years of doing this stuff, this evening was, by far, the best swim session I think I have ever had. I think all of the work I've been doing on form has payed off. I focused tonight on bringing some speed and power into my stroke and I have never felt faster. I took about a thirty to fifty second break between each set in my main set. That's a longer bureau than I would normally take, but I thought it was a good idea to do it so I could focus on form and speed without being exhausted.
Really easy. All z1. Pretty sore and stiff from yesterday
I never got the opportunity to write any of my thoughts about yesterday's training so, I was thinking a lot about that training this morning while I wad running. This really was a great training weekend for me. I'm thrilled with the brick I put together yesterday and I think I am primed for the opportunity to go sub 6 in my him in two weeks. If I can run tbat comfortably at a 9:30 pace for the whole half marathon portion of the him I'll be in great position to break 6.
