I'm baaaaaaaaack! I'm alive! I'm happy, and I accomplished my goal of not killing myself or anyone else. A good place to start.

Race report is forthcoming. I'm exhausted and my legs hurt... which shouldn't make it difficult to type, but for some reason... does.

Saw the BT crew... Dumpster... Cindy and Mark K... and I believe I spied Autumn on the race course...! Even met Dumpster's Dad, who did the sprint race yesterday. :)

Am exhausted, did I say that already? But happy. And sunburned. Next time I'll wear a hat for the run! My forehead got barbequed.

Driving, bike check in... dinner... rest... relaxing.... Laughing

Am strangely calm in regard to Sunday's race. Excited, happy, and interested, yet calm. Looking forward to it. I've done the work. My knee feels better. Let me at it! My goal is to finish without killing myself or anyone else. And to finish without the aid of an ambulance or the Medical tent. (!!!) We shall see. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEExcited. Definitely. Wink

Planned rest... today instead of tomorrow. The only thing left on the docket is a 1000 swim and 15 minutes of deep water running... and it storming like crazy here this AM. Will be better to swim tomorrow.

Getting trailer hitch and bike rack installed after work today on the Solara. Gotta be able to haul Lucy around.

 

Knee feels weird..... EEEEEEEEEKKKKKKK..... this is scaring me. Undecided 

I took my extra rest day today... will do easy workouts Tues, Wed, and Thurs. Friday rest again, and Saturday is a spin thru the gears on the bike before checking it in... and Sunday is the race. I'm scared to death. Although I don't think I could have trained any more or any differently. I think I'm about as prepared as I can expect to be. Doesn't mean I'm not really really scared.

REALLY SCARED.


OK, just had a momentary freak out session earlier today. I feel a bit better now... excited, nervous, whatever... a wee bit scared... but I really think I've prepared as much as I can for this event, and I can do the distances... have swum/biked further than I needed to in one day, and have run 13.1 before, so I should be alright. Excited. Nervous energy.
