Holy Cats. This was the hardest thing I've ever had to do, running wise. I couldn't decide if I was going to involuntarily vomit or poop. Wow.

One good thing... I checked out all the apples I bought the other day, and they are ALL Cameos! I swear I was in the Gala section. Perhaps I was hallucinating. (again). These apples make me happy. I can't wait to eat another one. EEEEEK! My life is devolving into trying to outrun the weather and eating apples. I suppose there are worse things. Like trying to outrun the police and smoking crack. Wink
Now here's a treat:

Remember, before I was a triathlete, I was a cheerleader for many years. This was the beginning of it all. Can you find me? The year was 1983 and I used to sleep with a thick headband around my hair to flatten it at night. I also had braces. 7th grade awkwardness. The little one perched on top is my BFF Rachael.

BLAH. Ran outside. Am getting better at feeling my pace but I'm still not very reliable.

5:11 AM: Up for a little swimmy. No Dumpster, no Katie and probably no Pete. Oh well. Will swim and get the hell out of there early so I can get into work early, and leave early in order to p/u Taetum and bring her to the PetHotel for this evening.... and then run for 51 minutes... all before it gets dark.

I slept like the dead. Fresh air, and outdoor noises coupled with warm kitties... no turning back. O-U-T. I don't remember my dreams, though...

9:38 AM: Oliver the fish died last night. Finally. I didn't have the heart to flush him prematurely, but it was hard to watch him suffer. So I was a little relieved to find him lifeless on the bottom of the tank this morning. Poor baby. He was old, though, and lived a very nice fish-life.

11:18 AM: I am eating the best apple I've ever eaten. Wow. I thought I was buying Gala apples but apparently this Cameo snuck in. It's pretty *#)&%#()*%^@ good. Wow. (This will be the last mundane detail I log today. Sorry...) Kiss Check out the CAMEO APPLE! Interesting! An apple pageant. Who knew?

6:48 PM: It was gorgeous all day... birds chirping, sun shining...but now I have go to run and it looks like Kansas before the tornado hit in the Wizard of Oz. Weird green/grey sky...

7:22 AM. WOW. I slept right through my alarm and just woke up now. I think I set my alarm... ? Awesome night's sleep. Glad I didn't sleep through work....

Just went to check. I set my alarm for 6:25 PM. That didn't help.

12:01 PM: Exceptionally craptacular weather has me thinking I'm going to be doing this one on the treadmill today... Hmmmmpf. Would rather not. Temp 50 ish and winds are about 21 mph with gusts to 33 mph. Rain looks like it's gone for the moment being... (This map updates, so as you can see, the rain is completely gone now!)

What would BT do? Run outside? Treadmill? Curl back into a ball and snuggle under the covers?

I think I'm gonna give it a go outside. We shall see. No such thing as bad running weather... just bad running clothes. At least that's what I've heard. Surprised

Rode the same route as last week except for one wayward wrong turn and several more hill repeats. And did the loop twice.

My legs, arms and neck are sore. Didn't sleep that well last night and did a bunch of pulling with paddles in my swim last night... so I think that's why I'm feeling it today.

4:30 PM Not quite as crabby anymore, but I am in desperate need of a nap. Going to take one right now. Dropped Lucy off at Wheel Werks for a tune up and a general inspection. She's making some scary clunking noise. Probably not good. Will need a new chain for sure, probably some new brakes, she'll get a good cleaning and lubing and all will be well with the world.

Swimdate! :)

Jana (Master's Coach) is in Florida for her HIM this weekend... so Chris and I made the executive decision to have another Friday night swim date using a modified Gordo swim. I've requested no more than 3300 meters. I don't want to over do it, and he's in a recovery week, so I see no reason for us to rip our arms off. If there is a reason, I don't see it.

Felt nice and strong the whole time.

Sometimes when I ride my bike I don't feel like I'm on a bike at all... I feel like I've grown wheels. This was one of those times. :D I might not have the best or most expensive bike, but I tell you, I love it. Always have. :)

I will have that chance tonight. Weather permitting. There's a 1:45 bike ride staring at me from the sked. No more rain today. Please.

10:36 AM: CHAOS! We got upgraded computers last night. Only some of my settings were saved. My monitor is making my eyes hurt. Everything looks wrong. BLAH. Took a good half hour to figure out how to get into our workflows. Our poor IT people are sure getting their exercise today. Running back and forth between confused employees. Heh.

We went to the Cadillac Ranch for a little line dancing and hat wearing. I'm so hammered in that photo I can barely keep my eyes open. I dropped my camera shortly after this picture was taken and then passed out in the back of our limo. Nice, huh? We had fun. I think. The photos look fun at least. Surprised
