So. Knee was feeling pretty good last night and this AM... decided to be cautious and ride the bike. That was OK, but there were lots of squats and leg stuff today and I felt it "catch" toward the end of class. I think I'm OK, but whatever. More of the same shit, different day.

Well we brought him to the vet and he does not have a chip. I know from the last time I tried to find his owner (when he still had his whole tail and all of his fangs) said owner does not exist. People on various Facebook "lost pet" pages said they saw him around here and there but no one could say for sure, and no one claimed to be his owner. Furthermore, no one reported a cat like him missing.  His demeanor and his condition lead me to believe he was SOMEONE'S pet once, but I have to think that was quite a while ago. Like at least 6 months ago. His tail is now missing and his front left fang is chipped in half, so before he got injured any further, we made the decision to get him off the streets and keep him. He's our pet now. (Lucky fucker. I'd like to be MY pet) Maybe in another lifetime.

He's between 2-6 years old. No idea how long he's been outside, but he's almost 14 lbs so he's not starving.... that's a lot of birds and squirrels to eat. He's solid feeling and so very very friendly. My guess is he had a network of homes all conned into feeding him, and he made the rounds daily. I don't know why he stopped coming to us, or what made him come back, but I'm glad he did. Molly and Quentin will have to adjust... We're going to do the introduction carefully and correctly this time, which means a lot of time will be spent sniffing each other through closed doors. I am glad all of my hours spent watching Jackson Galaxy will finally be put to practical use .

Meet Freddie:

So... who here remembers that cat that showed up at the front door back in May? He literally knocked on the front door. More than once. I fed him a bit and he came back repeatedly. Then, I tried to abduct him, and he got freaked out (presumably) and I never saw him again. Until today.

Today he showed back up. Dirty. MISSING MORE THAN HALF OF HIS TAIL. Hungry. But still friendly as ever. Chris and I decided to take him in. For real this time. So we are sequestering him to the upstairs office. Will take him to the vet on Monday and see if he has a chip. If he does, we will cross that bridge when we come to it. If not, we just got a new family member.

Ummmmm hello? Anyone home?

Had to switch to the later class after I was scheduled for a phone conference at 11:30 AM. I had to go to the crappy coach, Justin. I mean, he's OK, he's just kind of awkward and young and inexperienced and antisocial. So. I mean the workout gets done either way, I'd just rather have some fun motivation. But whatever. Made myself ride the bike even though I felt sturdy enough to run.

Bike Block 1
90 sec push
1 min AO
1 min recovery
30 sec push
1 min AO
1 min recovery
1 min AO

Blocks 2 and 3 were the same, except the recovery sections were 45 seconds and 30 seconds respectively. Harder than it looks.

Floor Block 1 Designed to be impossible to do with knee issues

5 x Lateral Bench Step Ups (Left Leg)

DONE. Blagh.

Seems my HRM craps out every now and then... right in the middle of some hard work. This was after the first floor block, when we got back onto the treadmill. Ran in my new pink shooz. They were great. As expected.

Knee was feeling a little funky this morning... I would feel tiny twinges of pain here and there... like the fucker was threatening me.

Decided I'd run anyway because this is my life and I need to live it... and it did OK. Needled me a little bit more as I was trying to go down the stairs... so I have to watch it today. Thinking I should ride the bike tomorrow. Run on Saturday, and then off on Sunday.
