Decided not to go into the office today. I don't want to waste hours on the train only to waste hours in the office. I have so much to do. My friend Dara interviewed yesterday... we'll see if she gets the job. We have 3 openings in my department, 2 of which will be filled in Chicago. Help is on the way. I HOPE.


Dara got a second interview. This is good for me on a number of levels.

  1. I might be working with one of my best friends again!
  2. I get a decent bonus if she gets hired and stays hired for 3 months
  3. I will get some relief from my insane workload.

This weekend I will be going through all of the closets, donating our unused winter coats, donating all of our duplicate Tupperwares, donating all the stuff we do not use that takes up a ridiculous amount of our limited storage and makes living in Chez Parker awkward. I will then go to donatestuff.com and have them pick it all up. I cannot wait. Maybe I will shred our old documents too. The possibilities for purging are truly boundless.

Got a good, full night's sleep and I am a new woman. This is good, because the version of me that I was yesterday was fucking insane. Super stressed.

Got the cats to roll around together with some catnip last night. It was harmonious and glorious. Having an insurmountable workload, nonfunctional closets (love this house, but the closets are shit. Storage is shit. It's crazy.) and what I consider to be generalized chaos and loose miscellaneous crap everywhere, has made me crazy. I also am feeling a pinch for time, since I am working 10+ hours each day and sleeping 8. That leaves me with 6 hours. 5 if I workout. OMG doing this assessment of time is stressing me out even more. Must stop. Must not work 10 hours today.

OMG I came so close to sleeping in today. SO. SO. SO. SO. Close. I slept like crap and knew I was going to have an obstacle course of a day at work, so the last thing I wanted to do was rouse myself from my warm bed and go flail around at OTF for an hour. But I did. Mostly because I didn't want to pay $12.00 for the privilege of laying in bed.

My performance was probably sub par, but I guess SOME exercise is better than NO exercise. How can I be wrong about this? LOL.
