Just a quick note to let everyone know that I haven't dropped off the face of the planet.  I'm well.  I'm working out.  Will update my logs, hopefully, later today or tomorrow.  Done!  Got a chance to update before heading out to eat lunch.

Windstream's DSL has been nonfunctional at my house for four freakin' days!!!!  Do you know what it's like to not have internet for four days when you have a BT addiction?  Yikes!!!!  This past weekend was my normal weekend off so I didn't have to work Sat., Sun. or Monday.  So no chance to access internet at work like I am doing now.  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(  I sure hope things are fixed tonight when I get home!

7am lap swim. My first 2000+ yard swim session! 100y breaststroke to warm up. Then 1000y free, rest 1 min, 500y free, rest 1 min, 500y free. Been wanting to do this for awhile so it was good to have an opportunity to do this today. Plus all the chlorine cleaned the last remnants of snot out of nose. LOL!

Back in action. I think I deserve extra credit points for running outside today. Cold, snowing and WINDY! Coming back toward home was almost directly into the wind. ACK! Don't know how cold and windy because of no internet! Probably a good thing. Felt good to be off the treadmill though.

Day 2 of a crummy cold virus.  Decided not to push my body into getting up at some ridiculously early hour to go to the Y before work.  Workouts for the next few days will be on a day to day basis.  Actually I don't feel too bad right now after a good night's sleep (with the help of wonderful sleep inducing cold medicine).  I just finished up my on call week last night so I am not on call and off work Sat. and Sun.   Yay!!!!

New PB for 100y. Dropped :04, from 2:18 to 2:14. In fact every 100y interval in the set was below 2:18. Yippee! Easy to improve when you start from the bottom. Arms were really tired at the end though. I've also been feeling it a lot in my upper back (lats). I guess that is good.

Feel good about today's PB in my swim.  Small increments, but it is improvement.

The husband is in trouble though.  He was kind enough to share his cold with me.  Not bad at all today, but it is only day 1.

Took an off day today.  Tuesdays can really whup my ass sometimes.  Between my early morning workout, doing surgeries into early afternoon, then doing evening office hours, well some evenings, I get home just beat.  Last night after office hours, I had to suture up a dog that cut its leg and didn't get home until after 7:30pm.  Then still had to feed chickens and collect eggs.  Didn't sit down and eat something until 9pm. 

So today was a good day to just go to work and that's that!  Early to bed tonight so that I can get up to go to the pool early tomorrow.
