Rode the ridgeline trail in Castle rock.  Then followed it up with a 3 mile tempo run in the dark.  I think running at night makes me push a little harder.  For one thing it's cooler and I never feel overheated.  Another aspect is all the noises that you hear along the route.  Something rustling in the bushes or scurrying across my path.  It definitely gets the adrenaline flowing.  On a side note, my hip is feeling much better.
