Pretty darn good run! My legs weren't nearly as tired as after the marathon two weeks ago. I was planning 2 but decided on 3 while out there. I might have done up to 5, but that darn husband needed to be picked up.

Not entirely unhappy with my time. It was my 3rd marathon this month. Lisa ran the 25k. Too bad we couldn't start together! Would have been nice to have some company!

I won't do this race again. They cleared out the last water stops after mile 18. That left me and the other few people on the course with no support for 8 miles. What if we needed help? Sure, I had water, but I know the guy behind me was really struggling at times (he had his wife with him, so he was good but still). No bathrooms on the route at all either. I guess they just assume that the people of Birch Bay don't mind people peeing in their yards. I get that it was a low frills race, but ONE porta potty, please? Just one!

Still had a good time, though. The people were really nice and I appreciated what they did do. I just didn't think it was the best race I've run, and I've run a few other SUPER low frills races for no cost that had more support.
