Last big ride before the race, completed the entire race course. For the most part it was a pretty good effort. I did feel a lot of soreness in my quads at the beginning but I think this is mostly from the previous weeks milage. I am contemplating holding a 19mph average during the race.

Run directly following the bike, legs went ok. Took the 1st 2 miles before I could settle into a solid pace. Only discomfort from here was a knot that came on in my left quad. Started around mile 3.5 and never really went away. I think race day a 9m pace is definitely doable, but will take some mental strength to keep moving.

Legs felt good for today's ride, not much soreness and energy was good! Time was the fastest of the week by a minute. The best part though was when the ride ended! Pulled my footlights foot out of the cage and then leaned to my left side! Just about fell over trying to get my left foot out of the cage! Wound up with a cut on the side of my knee that was bleeding pretty good! I got a good laugh out of it!

Not much energy in this ride, combine this with e storm that was cooking up and I decided to cut the trip short. Normal was 31 miles but cut the trip around both lakes off and finished at 20 miles. Probably not a terrible thing, no need to push hard only a week and half out from my race!
