Finished my book, 'Nutrition for Runners', interesting...my wife thinks I'm nuts..I bought some supplements and other stuff.....I'm trying to eat better...Nutrition has always been a weak spot for me..I love my cookies and sweets....I bought trail mix, granola bars, frozen strawberries and blueberries for my smoothies.....trying to find a race for January around here and not having much luck, any suggestions from anyone close to Indianapolis?  My mother decided to stay an extra week, my daughter was thrilled.  Grandma is teaching my daughter how to quilt, cool.  One last regular season BB game and tourny game and we are done! Yeah!! Boys have improved but we are a B team playing in an A league.   Indoor soccer starts next week for my youngest, hope that goes well.  My running buddies are not running as much and have taken up raquetball of all things, not for me..last time I played my college roommate almost lost an eye.  Plus I don't need anymore floor burn scars.

Time to switch gears....time to ramble....I think I treat people nicely and with respect but I don't seem to get that in return, is it me?  I'm starting to think that it is, maybe I try too hard...I had a rough 2007 with all the politics and drama and quite frankly I'm tired of it...I hope 2008 is not more of the same....it's starting that way....there are always exceptions and I guess I should focus on the exceptions....

Time for a long run tomorrow. I hope everyone has a great weekend! Thanks to everyone for the inspires

Good ending to a terrible 2007...My Cowboys pounded the Hoosiers last night!!!!!! I had two people wanting to bet me on the Insight Bowl as they knew I was an OSU alum.  Sooo I won an adult beverage and lunch!!!!  I was listening to one of the local t.v. stations and the sportscaster said that the Cowboys piled on by scoring with 50 seconds, did he watch the game?  The Loosiers called timeout twice during the Cowboy possession instead of letting the time clock expire, if your going to call timeout twice during the last minute or so then you deserve to get scored on!!!

My daughter had 4 of her friends over, they are still asleep (10:15), imagine that--5 teenage girls staying up all night and sleeping in....lol...they had fun, they drank some sparkling grape juice, watched Miley Cirus, Carrie Underwood, Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest bring in the New Year.  They ran outside in the cold rain and did some poppers..  Have you ever listened to 5 teenage girls giggling and laughing and being loud?  Hope Dad didn't embarrass his daughter tooooo much.. I love teasing the girls they are so easy...Someone is moving upstairs...wonder who is up.

Workout, thinking about doing a run or bike today..then off to friends house for the day to watch football and more football and to eat and eat and eat...Speaking of eating, I'm reading the book, 'Nutrition for Runners'.   It's really interesting, I'll have to share some points in the book at some point.  Hope everyone had a safe New Years!!!!  I'll check in later.
