10 p.m. run. Ran out of time to do things today between chaotic work, laundry, packing and a trip to the mall.

Mall walking + Ellie Mae

Today is the hottest mess of hot messes at work. Trying to pull together all of the post-event communications and 90% of people I'm working with are either out of the office (recovering from the event or on Fall Break) or not responding. Luckily my (new) boss is around and being super helpful. At least I'm at home so I can run the laundry and turn my luggage. Going back to Vegas tomorrow for Lady Gaga.

Overall thoughts on the week: I'm getting more excited about my new role. I told a buddy the other day that at first I was a little down after accepting the position because I LOVED my old role - mostly because it was EASY for me. And this new role is a wild card. I know it's going to be more challenging, especially at the beginning, and I don't know if it will ever be easy. But this week, I really feel like I nailed everything and the execs were super happy. It was a good jump off.

Other thoughts as I went through the week and got to see my old buddies from Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas... This company is a special place. People are genuine and real and care about each other. I can't tell you how many times throughout the week that I saw someone from home and they lit up, ran over to me and gave me the biggest bear hug. It made me feel so special and so missed. And I reflected a lot on my old team and how much I miss them. I resolved, again, that my biggest lifetime professional goal is to build a team like the one I was on before I moved to Atlanta. I knew it the day I accepted my new role, and am reminded of it often... I'll never find another team like that again.

HOME. After landing at 5:30 and not getting home until 7:30. Rookie move to schedule a flight landing in Atlanta rush hour. My poor Lyft driver.
Dark and 57 degrees. Amazing.

Painfully tired. I’ve not gotten much sleep this week. Last night I was planning on going to bed early but ended up hanging out first with my buddy from Phoenix then with a super fun guy from Tulsa at the after party. I was half planning on cutting out of a session this afternoon to take a nap because I didn’t have any responsibilities. But i wanted to hear the SVP’s presentation because I’ll be working with her a lot, then it just made sense to stay as I had to make sure our president could do a rehearsal during the break afterwards. Anyway. I’m a tired girl with achy feet.

Hotel gym treadmill again. Decided to knock out this week's 4-mile run while I had the time. Forgot my Garmin, but did 9:1 intervals as I was feeling fresh.

Love mornings with a three hour time difference to my advantage. Got to sleep in, lounge around, watch TV, get coffee and was early to the 8:30 a.m. rehearsals. As anticipated, three of our executives had changes to their presentations this morning, one which had a domino effect on the script. But, got everything taken care of plus knocked out some last minute requests and have some down time this afternoon.

Took a gamble (heh) and didn’t run before heading to Vegas this morning. Had to leave the house at 6:30 am, nope. But luckily I got to the hotel and got to check in around 1:30 pm, so had 2 hours to spare before rehearsals begin.
Staying at the Wynn Tower Suites and it’s kinda fancy! Like Alexa will open the blinds if you ask. And this is the view laying in the bed (cropped out Trump Tower, you’re welcome lol)

Long run - pretty happy with my pace. It’s amazing how much the temperature drop affects me.
