Nice, long, cold run today - 18.25 miles, in the hills near Butte College. I was able to hold a pretty good pace, with a 1 hr, 26 minutes out, and 1 hour 31 minutes coming back (only lost 5 minutes on second half of run). Fuel belt buckle snapped half-way thru the run, so I had to improvise - but was able to stay well hydrated and fueled (about 50 ounces of water, and 24 ounces of gatorade, a bananna, one powerbar and a package of "sport beans".
Finished the run pretty strong, with no real issues - could easily have gone farther....
9.79 minutes/mile pace - which would equate to around a 4 hr, 15 minute marathon pace - I'd really like to find a way to shave an additional 15 minutes off, to end up with a sub 4 hr race time.
