Pretty beat up today from the 1/2 mary yesterday - actually got up, had breakfast, then went back to bed for a couple of hours.

 

Finally got my act together around 10:00, did some puttering around the house - then went for a bike ride with my wife - nice and easy.

Tomorrow I launch my half-iron training program - WaHOOOOO!!!!!

Day before my 1/2 mary - no workouts planned.  Snow issues this week raised hell with my sleep, up at 2:00 AM this morning again - but luckily I was able to get an hour nap or so in the afternoon.  Assuming I get a good nights sleep tonight, I should be well rested, maybe a little undertrained (seems like a long time since my last long run) but no real medical issues (other than a great case of poisen oak).  My RHR is the lowest it has been since my last taper - so should be set for a great race tomorrow.

Another Snow-induced rest day - activated our EOC (Emergency Operations Center at 2:00 AM, worked until 7:00 PM dealing with uprooted trees, live power lines, broken snow plows and dumbas*'s that wouldn't put on chains until after they landed in the ditch or crashed into someone.

 

Snow induced "Rest Day" - put in a 18 hour day coordinating snow plowing activities - not much time to work out.

Nice work out this morning - all three disciplines.  Held my race pace (8'30") in run, and easy swim, pretty hard bike effort.
