Long, long, long run today. First three hours were pretty easy, other than the frigging 20 mile per hour headwind, and 35 degree temperatures.... The last hour and 9 minutes were pretty close to torture, as my legs were TIRED!!
Took a few walk breaks, but I finished that damned run.
One last long run in a couple of weeks, and it's MARATHON TIME, Baby.
Frost or Fog race in upper Bidwell Park. Good overall race, splits of 7'47", 7'59", 8'30", 9'24", 5'52", 8'30", 3'36". Quite a bit of uphill on mile 3 and 4 explains the longer splits, there is no explanation for the 5'52" mile - other than the mile marker being off!!! I am sure I did not run a sub-6 minute mile LOL.
Anyway, happy with the times, given the hilly race course. Hopefully somebody else will put the race into the race report system, so I can just plug my numbers into the report.
Easy recovery run (only 12 hours from yesterday's run) at what I hope to be "marathon pace". This pace would put me at a 4 hour, 7 minute marathon (which would be a 30 plus minute improvement from my last (and first) marathon time).
