2 hours playing tennis with my son - he can still kick my butt!!!
Very easy recovery run, to see if my foot was going to turn into a serious injury or not. Thankfully, it did not give me any trouble.
I walked about a mile or so at lunchtime on Tuesday, the day after my 24 mile run. By the time I got back to the office I was limping... By that evening I could barely put weight on it.
The next day it felt better, so I thought I would try a short run on the treadmill... I lasted about 3/4 of a mile and the pain shut me down.
This little episode reinforced to me how important it is to rest the day (or two) after a long run.
I'll try a little longer run tomorrow, and if everything is still OK, then hopefully get back on schedule next week. The absolute last thing I want to do is propogate an injury, 5 weeks out from my marathon.
