One last "dress rehersal" this morning. Weather is predicted to be foggy, 36 degrees at the start, warming up all the way to 44 degrees at the finish line. That's a little colder than I'm used to, so I'll be checking my clothing options to make sure I'm comfortable.
Easy run, with all my "race clothes" on. Decided on a three layer top (race top, long sleeved wicking shirt and a cotton "throw-away" T shirt), and just race-ready shorts (no sweats or tights). It was just a little brisk, but as long as I was moving I was staying plenty warm. Cotton "throw-away" gloves, and I am set to go!!!
6x100 yard strides to warm up, then a brisk run around the block. Everything felt a little "stiff", but I guess that is to be expected when you are tapering pretty hard.
Easy day tomorrow traveling, eating, walking around the expo and sleeping - then Race day on Sunday.
